Hey guys , this is white , manga and white manga TV , the creator of Apple Black here to show you guys how I draw a manga face from below or you can call it like an ant's view , something like that .
So hope you guys enjoy .
Let's go the model I'll be using for this tutorial .
The character model is a character of mine called Angelo , who is a character from my comic Apple Black and eventually I'll be using Santa as well , who happens to be the main character from Apple Black .
Most part of this observational tutorial kind of video .
Uh I will just be , you know , allowing you watch and observe , uh watch , observe and report , leave questions if you uh leave questions below in the comment section .
Uh if you have any and just keep uh take notes of key things like you can see how the jaw is almost in like one curved , straight line , curved horizontal line and then it just forms the forms the ear and the ear is like , you know , really below .
So like it's almost on the same , you know , it's almost parallel um you know , position wise to where it is and uh having the character smile just a little bit and you can see the neck trying to the reason why he raised the jaw , you know , saying , thinking maybe the jaw is too big .
So again , don't be afraid to kind of erase .
And uh if you make a mistake , uh I use the eraser a lot .
So it's not like a pride thing .
Uh If you see something's wrong , fix it .
So I'm having characters smile a little bit .
And since the characters , uh since the camera is kind of a blow , uh it's um one of those things where you definitely have to see the nostril and the nodes itself will kind of block the other eye .
So we're only gonna see one eye .
Now , the way the eye is gonna do , the way the eye is gonna be , you know , drawn , it almost like it's going to be , you know , curving down .
Now , we're not gonna see the whole of the eye because the way the character , the way the character is designed , uh part of his hair covers the eye .
So we're not gonna see all of the eye , but the eye is kind of , you know , below the , below where the bridge of the nose begins and it keeps curve looks like it's curving down to the ear .
So where you place , you know , the eye , nose and the mouth when current uh drawing a character like this , it really , really plays a part in the uh in the drawing .
Now , you may be thinking , what do you use , drawing characters like this ?
Where do you use them ?
Um You can use the , for me , I use this , this angle .
Usually if I want to show something above the character's head or if the character sings something very , some saying something very , very , I don't know , sinister to where he's kind of looking down on you in a way or if a character is shocked at something and it's looking down .
So most times when a character is just looking down , but when they're saying something sinister is usually when , you know , they're looking down on you and they have this guy like figure and you , you know , they're looking down on you basically and , or you can just wanna show something above uh something above them or if they're lying down , you know , something on , you know , where their heads at and , you know , it , it , it's usually , it's effective , usually showing , uh showing emotion and stuff like that .
It really just gives this vibe and makes the reader feel like an ant .
Uh and the , and the character feel like a God sometimes and that's why it's used or it's used to just show something uh above the character .
It depends and you , you know , with art and everything , there's not one way to do things so you can be creative and find uh unusual ways to make this angle effective when you're drawing characters here , I'm drawing Santo and I'm drawing him looking down and this is like from a , it's not from the exact angle .
That's why the nose is not blocking the other eye .
So this is a little more in front of Santo .
So it's almost the same thing , you know , the , the jaw , the jaw line doesn't complete the whole face .
Uh you know , it doesn't go from left jaw to uh left side of the jaw , to the right side , the jaw , right side , jaw to the left and then it , but it still connects with the ear .
The ear is still really low .
You still see the nostril but now you get to see the um the other side of the eye and the mouth .
I I is , it's less side view .
That's all I'm saying .
And you know , here I'm drawing uh the character's hair hair , I'm adding that and you know , when the videos uh towards the end , you know , shade in the shade , shade in the shading the , the hair and just shade the character as a whole , you know , make the drawing look a little more interesting and you know , it gets a little , it also gets complicated when you , when you draw not just the character's face , but then you draw out the body as well .
So , you know , with things like the body , I'm just gonna leave those for other videos and just focus on this and I'll make this video tomorrow , so just focus on the face itself .
Uh So after this , I'm going to shade and you can , you know , take uh another mini observational tutorial where the way I'm gonna shade , this is almost like the light source is gonna be coming from below in the sand draw .
So first I'm just , you know , going in with the hair and nothing , nothing too , nothing too crazy .
Again , you know , if you wanna know everything I'm doing , it would be , you know , nice to just go along with me and uh be drawing it yourself is one of the best ways .
Uh one of the best ways to learn all these kinds of drawings is to actually practice it yourself .
So now I'm gonna go in with the shade and the top of his head like the forehead is basically gonna be shaded , the nose , the bridge is gonna be shaded a little darker , uh just slightly under the eye under the eye would be shaded as well .
And then the eye itself like the top of the eye itself , I'll touch that in a sec and not above the actual eye .
But I , I mean , the eye itself like the white side of the eye , you know , after I touch just a little bit under the jaw , just a little bit and uh so lower lip and upper lip , just a little bit more upper lip than lower lip .
Sometimes it depends .
Then just you know the white side , the white part of the eye , just a little bit of , of the top .
Now I'm just gonna shade , you know , make the top of his hair just come off a little darker and just add to the effect and give , you know , show more uh feed to the effect that uh uh the light source is coming from below .
Ok .
Guys , please feel free to play around with the drawings , You know , if you want the drawings from like the other side , all you have to do is like , you know , kind of uh invert the image .
Uh And that'll be it for this video .
